Like most everyone else, I don't know if this is my best shot but it certainly is my favorite. It was a beautiful day and I was really enjoying a walk down a bike path in Cleveland. I'm a new photographer so when I get what I think is a good shot, I'm really pleased. I have just a Coolpix L100 which I really like but considering its my first camera, I don't have anything to compare it with.

If I had to pick a favorite among the many shots I took I think it would have to be my first successful lightning shot. Taken with a Pentax D110 that I had purchased just days before and not knowing a darn thing about it, I was totally surprised at the result.

I took this at the Tomb of the Unkown Soldier last summer with a Canon point'n'shoot (A720 I think) before I got my D60.

Given the tireless consistency of the performance of the guards, I bled a little color out to make it look old-ish.

Exif Data:

Camera: Canon
Model: Canon PowerShot A720 IS
ISO: 80
Exposure: 1/1250 sec
Aperture: 4.0
Focal Length: 10mm
Flash Used: No

this is my favorite photo for sentimental reasons, as it shows my grandmother's hands and they represent her hard life very well...
it was taken on my last trip to her village in Romania, two years ago... I miss her.

I don't think I could pick a best ever but this is my most recent favorite. My parents were live in Ocean City, MD and I was visiting a few weeks ago. I didn't leave my house in Philly until 1:00am, so I drank a huge energy drink on the way down there. When I got there, everyone was asleep but I was still wired from that drink so I went out to get some shots.
I took this one from the Rt. 50 bridge facing downtown Ocean City with a 30 second exposure at F/8 200 ISO and 18mm focal length and with a circular polarizer.
I tried numerous shots at different exposures to reduce the blown-out areas but they just didn't offer enough detail in the rest of the shot so I settled with this one. The lights are blown out in a lot of areas, but the detail is very sharp in the rest of the picture, imo.
I hope you all like it. =o]

The shot was taken in a funderworld, bristol (Mobile theme park, they call it as). I visited with my friends in the morning and i really enjoyed it. When the lights starts to glow in the fair, I couldnt resist myself, I drove back to my home and took my camera, then again paid the entrance fee to enter. Its really worth for money. I have few more shots. i will upload it soon in my flickr account.
