Over the last few weeks we’ve been publishing a series of posing guides. So far there are:

Today your photographic challenge is to choose one of the poses mentioned (there are 63 to choose from in total) and take a portrait with that pose. The objective is to practice your posing and portraiture.

Please note – this isn’t about finding a photo in your archives that matches one of the poses – it’s about taking some new photos and sharing them.

Feel free to either take a posed portrait of someone else or a posed self portrait if there’s nobody handy to photograph.

Once you’ve selected the ‘Posed Portrait’ image that you’d like to share – upload it to your favourite photo sharing site or blog and either share a link to it or – embed them in the comments using the our new tool to do so.

If you tag your photos on Flickr, Instagram, Twitter or other sites with Tagging tag them as #DPSPOSED to help others find them. Linking back to this page might also help others know what you’re doing so that they can share in the fun.
