Photoshop Tutorials – Learn Digital Cosmetic Surgery
My fellow Australian Photoshop expert Shane Goldberg has just emailed me to let me know that he’s offering you, readers of DPS, a special $20 USD discount off one of his latest products – Digital Cosmetic Surgery.
Many of you already know of Shane’s work as I’ve featured it here previously at DPS – but this latest resource is one that is well worth having if you’re wanting to learn how to retouch the portrait shots that you take so that they look like the ones you see in top magazines.
Shane takes you through a range of topics including skin retouching, eye enhancements, hair retouching, nose tips, mouth retouching and more.
The total cost of Digital Cosmetic Surgery is normally $57.00 – but this week (until 19 April) it’s just $37.00 (USD).
You can order via phone or via his site and can have the product downloaded to your computer within minutes.
PS: for a limited time Shane’s also offering a free bonus – his Photoshop Made Easy Book which I’ve previously promoted. It’s a great introductory book for those just getting into Photoshop.
PSS: another way to access some of Shane’s expertise and get a taste for his style for just $2.95 is to sign up for his Photoshop Tutorial videos. Shane offers full access to these videos for a 30 day trial period for just $2.95. I’m a user of these videos regularly and they’ve personally helped me in my Photoshop ignorance a lot. I hope you find them helpful too.

Interesting, I really wish he provided some samples. I don’t know about the quality of this book. Many of these techniques can be found online for free. Altho most tutorials online are pretty bad. Has anyone ever used any of his tutorials? I checked out the site but, I could not locate any free samples.

I agree on seeing some samples. I, for on, dont like to purchase something blind. I too checked out the web site and the small samples he showed were very common fixes. I would liek to see something a bit more before dipping into my pocketbook.

I have seen some of his video tutorials that a friend of mine purchased, they are pretty good but you can find them all for free pretty easy using a simple Google search.

After having to sit through a few days of a really bad way to send sample tutorials out (you get one a day). I decided not to purchase the book. The sample tutorials I sat though were 1/2 gibberish just talking about stuff not related to the image, such as simple things like user interface. I don’t feel that warrents such a high price for something that can be found online for free and legally.
He should really offer some sample pages of advanced techniques in the book.

The truth is,most techniques that retouchers use in magazenes can’t be found in tutorials like this. That perfect Vogue look is what I am after. Can’t find any tutorials yet

You can get that perfect Vogue look by practicing only. :-)

Posting a short (cut) sample of some of the more advanced techniques would be a good idea that could help it sell more. The one thing I like about products like these is that everything’s compiled into one resource so I won’t have to look anywhere else.
