Photoshop For Photographers Training Resource – Get some Free Resources Today

Shane-Goldberg-250Px
I’m always excited when I see resources being developed to help photographers improve their photography and move themselves towards being able to support themselves through their work. I get doubly excited when I see fellow Aussies doing it.

Today I’d like to introduce you to an Aussie by the name of Shane Goldberg (that’s him looking surprised over on the right) who has been putting together a great resource called ‘Photoshop for Photographers CD’. I’ve seen what he’s put together so far and it’s really excellent with heaps of great video tutorials for photoshop users (compatible with CS1, CS2, CS3 and CS4). What makes it unique is that it also bundles in some great teaching for photographers wanting to build a business around their photography.

I’ve been a member of one of Shane’s photoshop training sites for a while now and his training is always fantastic. He uses video tutorials to explain all manner of photoshop processes in a clear and simple way (and with an Accent that I know many of you love).

Shane has contacted me this week to let me know about a new resource he’s developing and an offer he’s willing to extend to DPS readers.

Sign up for a notification of his new product (the product has a cost associated with it although you have no obligation to buy it to get his free stuff) and he’ll give you two of his photoshop video tutorials (one on sharpening and one on a quick way to rotate images in photoshop) and a free report for photographers wanting to learn a technique to better monetize your photography.

There’s no obligation to buy the product and you can unsubscribe from the notifications at any point – Shane’s a straight up guy and won’t spam you.

All you need to do is to add your first name and an email address below.

I hope you’ll enjoy the free videos and report!

I wish he’d do one for Elements 7, too! :-)

I don’t think I like this. Whether or not the product is good, it seems like more an advertisement than anything else.

  • Josh

I agree Kevin, however places like DPS wouldn’t be free without advertisement.

I would second that wish for an Elements tutorial. There is some stuff on the web but its all over the place its seems unless someone can point me in the right direction. Specifically I would be looking for Photoshop Elements 6 in combination with a Wacom tablet.

I subscribed. I feel like Digital Photography School doesn’t often steer me wrong.

I’ve been a daily photoshop user since 1996 – Photoshop 4 in a pre-press environment to CS4 for web development and now getting more into Photography. I feel like I’ve read every photoshop magazine, book and online tutorial in between and I can say without a doubt that I’ve learnt more useful tips and skills from Shane Goldberg’s videos than anywhere else.
I’ve just had the Photoshop for Photographers CD delivered and looking to crack it open this weekend.
Don’t be put off by his goofy personality and how he markets himself – he knows his stuff.

Hey guys, just thought I’d drop a line and say hi and also in response to the people asking for Elements tutorials. Over the years we have produced a few hundred Elements videos and I believe there is a growing demand for it. I’ve only just (e.g. in the last month or so) started doing some work on a new site for Elements users which will be totally FREE! But there’s alot more work to do on it so far and we have alot of new content to create for it too, but I just wanted to give a heads up on that.

This is the first time I’ve mentioned anything about it publicly so maybe keep it under your hat for now but know that there will be something popping up soon for Elements users.

In the meantime the Photoshop for Photographers stuff is pretty cool we look forward to helping you out! ;) Have a great Easter all.

    Cheers
    Shane

So what if it’s an advertisement? It’s Darren’s website. If he wants to tout a good product, he can. Even if it was a paid advertisement, hey this website doesn’t run for free. There’s a lot of good information here.

Keep up the good work and awesome site Darren. If there is something I’m looking for I do check the advertisers here first as a way to give back for all of the help and info I’ve gleaned from this site.

I teach Photoshop Live Online Classes, but will check these out in case they would be a good supplement to my student’s learning. By the way, I love ProBlogger and the series you are doing right now.

    Thank you, Jod
