Photographing Fruit and Vegies – New Assignment
Today marks the beginning of a new weekly assignment over at the DPS Forums.
The topic is Fruit and Vegies.
It’s a fairly accessible topic for most (although I remember a few times in my bachelor days when this topic would have been out of my reach due to the lack of anything containing vitamins in my refrigerator).
There’s already some great shots submitted and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone else’s by the end of the week.
So grab your camera – raid the fridge and get shooting away!

Archive Updates: from time to time I head back to tutorials in our archives and do updates of the information in them. This week I spent some time on a popular post – How to Photograph Pets.
So once you’ve finished photographing the cauliflower – you can move on to Fido.
New Sony DSLR: Sony have become the latest manufacturer to announce a new DSLR today with the launch of the new Sony Alpha A700 – a 12.2 megapixel DSLR. This comes just a week or so after new DSLRs from Canon (Canon EOS 40D and EOS 1DS Mark III) and Nikon (Nikon D3 and D300).

I’ve tried to join your forum twice under 2 different names…..I never received the email to finalize the deal……I’m familiar with your software….I’m a moderator on another board that uses V Bulletin……what can I do? I love what I see and want to join in.

Here’s a little “old School” tip for you about photographing fruit. If you spray lemon juice ( maybe diluted) on apples or bananas it will keep them from turning brown while you are photographing them.

I missed the “official” assignment, but here’s a cute one I captured this past weekend at a Bat Mitzvah: funny faces.
