Yep….
I am also one of the daily user of Pentax K2000 and I am fully familiar with the features of this.
It has great reflectors to fill in the dark shadows if you shoot in daylight.
Its really nice experience to use it.

Beautiful camera! It’d be nice if Nikon and Canon came out with white bodies for some of their models.

I got one as soon as I saw an add for it. I absolutely love it – and yes, i have stormtrooper key chain on my camera bag to commemorate my camera’s wonderfully fun stormtrooper look. The white is not a problem at all. This camera has been on wilderness trips and traveled quite a bit here in the Southwestern part of the US. Not a scratch or a bit of dirt has collected on it. I was a K1000 owner and had been waiting for the right DSLR to come my way so i thought this was a natural progression. I have never been a professional, but I’ve gotten many professional looking photos from both the K1000 and now my well beloved K2000.

Although it looks pretty, I’m not sure that having a camera that stands out so much is a good idea if you don’t want it to get nicked

Haha, I totally agree with the stormtrooper comments. White cameras look awesome, but there’s something about the whiteness of that shell; it looks like a toy that could be broken easily.

I was lucky enough to secure one of these soon after the original announcement that only 40 would be imported into Australia. My first DSLR. I’m loving it! Produces great quality images. Generates a lot of comment when I’m out and about with it. Don’t be fooled by the white colour – it’s a solid, robust unit.

Hey guys why all the negativity and the comparison to ‘Stormtroopers’? Great to see Pentax stepping away from Black or Silver. Just lets hope that no manufacturer goes to the sill kiddie colours that Cellphone have gone to

Yup, the white one is a limited run – only 3000 were made.

And they do make a camo green version of the K-m, too. Too bad it’s one of those “only in Japan” special editions..
