You do need to adjust the settings to get good photos, but it's especially good at outdoor photos and it takes decent indoor ones. It's not the best, but it sure isn't the worst. I do enjoy using it but still plan on getting an Olympus Tough 8000 for those outdoor shots and then a nice DSLR after that. Some of the photos I've taken are on my Deviant Art site and I used the Nikon for all except one, the cloud picture. This camera works fine for me. The picture quality was so poor (grainy/blurred) that i took it back to the place of purchase and swapped it for a Canon. Much happier! I would not recommend this camera. Awful! After trying so many setting (even ISO is set to 80), the photo quality if extremely bad (not sharp and grainy because of noise). Don't ever think of buying it.
