So, what kind of f/stop do you think they were using? I often struggle with that simple decision. Would f/8 be appropriate for the setting in the video?

His website said they were shot at f5.6-8.

F8 would not be. They probably used something like f2.8-f4. Something in that range is about right for portraits. F8 would cause most of the picture to be in focus while the f2.8-4 makes the background blur out.
Good video.

Yes, great video. It covers a lot of info in a short time. I’ll have to remember these tips the next time I’m lining people up.

That was cool.
PS: I’m also guessing approximately f4 . . .

Yeah,I really liked this video a lot. I’ve seen some photo instruction videos online that have been no good, or full of fluff, but this was good; basic, but good.
Thanks!

All well and good, if you’ve got a huge lens, a huge light reflector and strobe light.

Good video. I would like to see more detail on settings used for the camera and strobe though.

Good job, great video, it’s hard to make a face shine just the right way outside. Love to see more videos like that.

Thank you for such a great video. DPS once again gives great practical advice for those of us trying to become better photographers. Hope to see many more videos about photography. I am a visual learner and this kind of instruction is wonderful.

I’m a very new photographer, and probably most of the posters already knew the techniques presented in the video, but from my perspective…
This video ROCKED!
