This is almost my third year having my second LEICA M8. It is my faithful companion everywhere and comlements me with my first one, my DMR/ R8, R9/, Nikon, as well as with Lumix G1. Using the Lens adapters I can adjust to any photo application.

My newest DSRL is a Canon 5D Mark II, paid $2600.99. I have had the camera for about three months. Fantastic camera! I never take any trips without a backup camera, so I also have a Canon D450. I still have my original Canon digital Rebel, which I had converted to IR. If you have never tried IR photography, I highly recommend it; we can get some real wild shots. I usually keep my 24-105 L on my 5D MKII and my 70-200 L on my 450D, so I rarely need to change lens in the field.

P.S. if you plan to take the leap to a camera like the 5D MKII, set some money aside for a few fast 32GB CF cards.

Sony Alpha a100. Bought used in January, the previous owner had it a year before I bought it. Looking back I have most of my cameras around 2yrs before I upgrade...
2002 Fuji 1300 1.3MP P&S
2004 Fuji S5500
2007 Nikon D70 had for 3months then swapped for Fuji S9000. Sold the S9000 for €200 to pay for the Sony.
2009 Sony Alpha a100 (cost €200 with kit lens). Think now I'll be concentrating on lens instead of cameras.

Two weeks old - Canon EOS 5D Mk II - beautiful piece of kit with a great lens (24-105mm) to replace my old faithful 10D and to complement my 50mm f/1.4, which is a stunning lens.

I shall not be buying another SLR for about 25 years given the amount I've just forked out...

I got my D700 about three weeks ago... YAY, I'm so happy with the camera. Before this I was shooting with a D300, I figure I sacrificed higher frame rate for much, much higher quality. This is the best camera I have owned and think this will be it for me for the next few years.

I started with a Kodak compact but it was too slow, so i delved into the world of dslr cameras with an olympus E420. After a couple of months i fell in love with photography and bit the bullet and bought an E520. However i started to take it more seriously studying from scratch being a total novice I then bought an E30 a couple of months ago and i love it.

Owner of a 350D for over four years and invested in CANON professional glass, meanwhile I am looking forward to own a full frame 5D MkII body.

Mine is 3 weeks old, Panasonic Lumix G1. I just upgraded from Canon A630.
I wasn't too pleased about the G1, thinking of getting Canon 450D with 50mm f1.4 lens.

I have just upgraded from the pentax k10d to the k20d with two new lenses. US$1500.
Although I live in Australia it was cheaper to buy from the US.

Right now I have a Canon Powershot A510. It still is working fine, although not as great as it used to, and right now I'm looking around for another one. I'm thinking about a Canon SX110 IS. I would love a dSLR, but they're too expensive for me and too bulky for the times I would use it.
