I have 3 DSLR which I use on weekends. But I carry my G10 everyday. $500 – for this Canon G10. I’m very happy with it.

I like to carry a cheap P&S with me when I go for a ride on my little motorbike. I can stop and get out of traffic to get those shots that traffic will not allow a car motorist to attempt. I also feel happier that if I do have a mishap I will not be damaging my expensive DSLR equipment.

Sony has a line of fairly small and slim cameras. I bought the original one they came out with that had on 5 MP, but was about a 1/4″ thin and had the slide down shutter cover that would power the camera on and off for quick shots. I like the small digital pocket camera for when I’m out at a bar or something and A) don’t want to carry my quite large DSLR and B) Don’t want to worry about dropping an $1100 camera while people are dancing, drinking, etc.

I’m a verry satisfeid user of the Nytech Digicams (point & shoot), I’ve used e’m since the 4 series came out, skipped the 5 and bought the 6 serie’s… Although I recently treated myself to a Canon Eos450D (three weeks ago, the 799 € bundle, and add a 250 € on extra’s (filters & stuff) onto that sum), I just today recieved my new Nytech (6 serie’s again) I bought on Ebay, from my previous one the viewscreen stopped working after a mountain hike in the rain… My first Nytech 6 serie’s I bought for 128 € and this new one sold brand new for 57 €…

Always have my Canon SD1100 elf and cell phone/camera in my pocket, purse or fanny pack. Even when carrying my Canon SLRs when I am out to capture the moment. Have found the elf to work well to capture unexpected people photos without calling attention to what I am doing.

I carry in my car my Nikon D70 digital camera and take shots all the time. It is in a carry case with a few lenses well hidden in my car for when i need it.

The last camera we bought, my husband bought for his office. It is a cheapie one and it cost about $150. Before that my husband bought me a Canon Digital Rebel XT and it’s a 8 meg. It cost about $799.00.

camera phones, ha !! ever consider the size of the sensor in a camera phone? forget it. consider the example:

a 8 mp camera, with a larger sensor will take a better picture than a 12 mp camera with a smaller sensor. — remember, the sensor is analogous to the size of the negative. a larger negative usually yields a better print than a smaller negative: also, larger sensor elements gather light better than a smaller one. Samsung makes a 12 mp camera phone, but the pix are probably noise-er /grainer than the beach.
