Glad to know I’m not the only one who rarely gets the chance to get the camera out.

Hi
I am committed to post a new image to my PhotoBlog http://kerstenbeckphotoart.wordpress.com/ every day and with only one or two exceptions due to unusual circumstances, I have managed to do this. I usually shoot on the weekends or evenings to have a stock of images for the following week.
regards, Erik

It really depends on the week and the time of the year. I find that I shoot less during winter and summer, but on average about 20-50, which are mainly lots of shots in my room to keep myself occupied when I’m bored.

Testing my ability to create an image from an idea is so theraputic that I would suffer from withdrawls if I did shoot everyday..
I had no ideas I was in the 11% bracket.. I might have a problem.

It depends on the weather, setting and time of year. Some days I shoot over 500 frames where some days I do not even get to see my camera bag because I am editing photos. So, my last event I shot 1200 in one day and the next two days I shot Zero!

I committed to the Project 365, taking a picture a day for a year. I have three months left, and it’s getting harder and harder. If the nice weather ever gets to New England, it will be easier. Of course, on vacation, I shoot a lot more — 5000 on my six-day safari in Tanzania.

It varies greatly for me. If I have a photoshoot happening on a weekend, I’m usually doing 100-300 photos, other weekends probably 20-30 photos. If I head to the beach to take photos of kite surfers, my camera is on motor drive and it’ll be around the 500 mark.

My median is probably around 300/week, but the mean is significantly higher (I’m seldom below 150/week and I have weeks where I’m above 4000). I used the median for the poll as it seemed more useful.

I Shoot less on a daily basis depending on the circumstance. On my medical mission trip to Honduras I shot 500+ and about the same in 5 days on the Oregon Coast. I try to shoot every day but do not always keep any.

Am doing a 365project which requires me to take and post at least one picture every single day. So far I’m on day 87 and haven’t yet missed a day. Some days I only take a 1-3 shots but most days I’m doing much more.

The next poll should be ‘how many prints do you make from your photos?’
March 29th, 2011 at 1:31 pm
It varies. Last week I took about 3,000, but I covered a few sports events, so it was sort of an outlier. A good average would probably be at least 500. Just depends on how much I work and what I’m covering.

I am doing a 365 blog so I shoot probably 50-100 a day and post up about 40 or so.

Hi
To stock up for my daily updated photoblog, I took close to 700 shots over three days in NYC this weekend.
Here is one from Time’s Square. This is the first of a Series from The Big Apple (Stay tuned)

290 per week averaged over the last year, I guess it depends on the week!

It depends whether there are some good events or parties in Europe. If there are some, I make app. 1000 pictures ( http://www.npx-photo.com ). If there are no good events, there good be some weeks without any picture

I, too, am doing a 365 Project, but I don’t think it has affected my average for the week (501-1000) … Maybe down this year, if anything. It may have been over 1000 previously because I’m going on fewer walks lately as I’m volunteering more and more in my little town of Cedar Key, Florida which is close knit and big on volunteering. I love my town!

On most weeks I would shoot well above the 500 range, depending on the weather. I can’t go for a walk without my camera, and on a nice long walk I might take 200-300 photos or more mostly shooting birds (or trying to!).

I go on weekends. I love taking nature pictures. It gives me a new adventure every weekend. I just ordered a Macro Lens and I can’t wait to start shooting with them. Watch out bugs!!!!!

Some days it’s 2000, some days it’s 10. I keep about 10,000 a year and usually look down on one good stretch and have all of sudden taken at least 200 pictures.
March 30th, 2011 at 6:54 am
I guess I don’t feel so bad with my super low answer.
We’re just getting through with winter here in Ohio and I have not had the chance to get out much. The weather is getting better and the days are getting longer though so I’m going to hop back on the horse and start making more photos.

If I was doing Project 365, I’d probably be in the 101-250 boat. This year I’m doing Project 52 instead so I frequently just pick up the camera a couple times a week, usually taking 20-30 pics at a time.

More than 200! I am a sucker for back ups shots

501-1000 bracket: I’m doing a 365 project a the moment so the hard drive is rapidly filling! http://www.flickr.com/photos/36585678@N02/

All depends on the weekends. I post on my blog (http://photo-bytes.com) about twice a week and I like to have some “stock” of photos to use. Most weekends I shoot between 100-200 pictures.

For me, as a freelance photographer..I took around 800 to 1500 pictures for a week and it sometimes goes to 8000 pictures for a month. It is because, my photography work is more on wedding and sometimes on event too but I am a lazy blogger.. Here is my own blog, http://www.japrin.com/ .

I didn’t answer the poll, but I’m gonna try to answer the question. My sessions come in waves, so my “shots per week” are just not consistent enough to answer the question by that benchmark.
Instead, I can safely estimate that when I am shooting, I fire off about 100 frames an hour (±20).
March 31st, 2011 at 1:33 am
I actually take about 60-80 each time, three times a week. I have a personal style blog, and I take 3 outfit photos a week.

In the spring & summer I roll the camera completely back to zero about once a week LOL .. in the fall about once a month .. in the winter I just chill and play video games, hang out with family and tell myself I should run a winter special to bring in more clients … then I say naw and go back to playing video games.
