hand in hand - old@new, past@future!This week we’ve chosen a theme that should be accessible to most of us – hands.

Actually hands are something that some photographers (and artists) struggle to capture in a natural way (here’s a tutorial we wrote on the topic of posing hands) – so perhaps it is a good theme to practice.

Feel free to take any approach you like with the theme – you might take a shot that is all about the hands – or do something a little more subtle. Remember the hands can convey a lot of emotion (clench fists could be portraying anxiety or anger for example) and even a story (two hands holding one another for example).

Once you’ve selected the ‘Hands’ image that you’d like to share – upload it to your favourite photo sharing site or blog and either share a link to it or – embed them in the comments using the our new tool to do so.

Remember these challenges are not just about finding pictures in your archives to share – we’d really love to see you getting out your camera and taking a new photo – after all that’s what dPS is about, helping you take better shots rather than just celebrating past shots.
