Sheesh, even the composition was bad... I hope they didn't pay her much. Those were all fairly bad photos IMHO.

I was told by a sports reporter, "She's new to the area and a nice person!" I replied, "So what's your next excuse for her not being able to shoot sports? Doesn't matter if you're in Hawaii, Alaska or elsewhere, you either got it or don't. From what I've seen of her ability to shoot sports........she's clueless!"

What does being new to the area or being 'nice' have to do with anything?

WTF knows, but that's what I was told. Guess it doesn't matter if you can take pictures or not. Besides, as you know and others on DPS, I'm not always nice, but truthful!

Great pictures Jim.
FYI, the facebook link requires you to add you as a friend to view your pictures. I would love to see the others but, I'm betting you'll find people's (including my own) status updates obnouxious.

I'm actually about to start editing through 200ish frames of school volleyball and fencing. Sports really challanges me, which is cool. Can't imagine how hard it is to shoot night time football though.

Doesn't bother me, more friends the merrier What I find in shooting any sporting event is to get to know the game. I know that most volleyball and basketball, unless it's a pro event, is shot in those dark gyms. Most of the refs won't let you use flash. I've never shot fencing.........that would be interesting.

It is beautiful country, the 4 days a year the sun shines on the penninsula :P, and of course in the year we were there I NEVER got my perfect shot at lovers point heh. We've moved (just this last month) all the way to the other end of the country so now my shots are from Baltimore to DC up to philly and lord knows where else.

I do have a question for you. I've decided to grab the 150-500 sigma OS to do the base high school games (football and baseball). Think that's enough lens for now? I know there will be parents, teachers and students wanting the photo's and it seems a great way to learn but I wonder if the Bigma is the best choice atm.
