Great write up Jim!

I've got to agree with Jerbear & Fletch too, our wedding photographer had at least a dozen full albums (those fancy coffee table book ones) scattered around the place, pick up any and they were all good, that was probably the biggest reason we chose him over people a lot cheaper.

It is important to find top shooters in your hometown and ask them what they think. Join professional organizations and photo clubs, even if you do not intend to become a full-time pro. Find a way to meet such people and don’t be embarrassed or shy in asking them to review your portfolio. Remember, even through being a great shooter, they still remember that they too, had plenty of help on the way up.

I love this part. So true.
