Wink Makeup on Old Black and White Portraits

How does one apply a faint hint of lipstick, or eye color, or cheek color on an old photo?

Default Learning Photoshop... Concensus on the best way?

A basic step by step guide in learning Photoshop is my dream.

I have PShop 7 and Elements 7 installed on my computer and looked at many tutorial video's to buy but I'm lost. I think there was a CS3 listed after the Photoshop name... what is the meaning? I'm not sure which video to buy because what if it isn't the right one? It may be too advanced, or worse it could be not advanced enough. Is there a book that would be better? I have struggled to learn and have done a good job so far but I didn't get very far. I have much I want to do and am up into the wee hours of the morning trying new things all the time. My concern is that I could throw money that I barely have down the drain if I buy the wrong product. I'm disabled and not able to work so I need to be very careful.

Lets have a discussion to learn who used what to learn the program? And what the heck does CS3 mean?

Good news.... I paid for a pro account on Flicker! I'm hooked!!!!

Talking Sell your used videos

Is anybody finished with their Photoshop Video and would like to sell them at a used price to other members?

I would be very interested to beg, borrow or buy your video's.

Janice

CS stands for "Creative Suite" which was in effect Photoshop 8; CS2i s Photoshop 9 and CS3 and CS4 are Photoshops 10 and 11 respectively. Why buy tutorials when there are so many on the 'net that are free? regards, Ken

As the light from a full moon, is reflected light from the sun, basic daylight exposure suffices:
Full moon 1/ISO at f11
half moon 1/ISO at f8
quarter moon 1/ISO at F 5.6

Chimp result and adjust exposure compensation to suit.regards,Ken

I take it you mean the subject to be a person, and both flash units of the same power. Main(Key) light needs to be at 45 degrees to the subject, both horizontally and vertically ( as the sun would be at 3 pm), meter to get a reading at F11. Fill light on opposite side of subject at same angles but either move back or tone down to give F5.6 from that side of the face. this gives the ideal lighting ratio of 3:1 Camera apertureis always set to Key light reading. It also pays to get incident readings from a hand-held flash meter. regards, Ken
