The principles of using a DSLR are the same as any other camera, except the DSLR will possibly be a lot more responsive and have better performance.
By changing the lens it can be set up for specific jobs as almost the perfect camera for that job. Also read the manual to see how you change settings for your camera.

I have seen so many portraits lately that seem to be taken outdoors with bright sunlight at the edge of lens flare; the pics seem moderately overexposed, usually of children or girls, lots of light on the hair. Id like something about graduation pics Idk if you have a tutorial or not but any info will help my nephew is graduating and his mom has asked me to take pics it may be outside and it may be dark.
