Default First Real Post Here -- 24/365

I actually went to three different areas of my little town on Sunday and ended up with a lot of keepers. Hard to decide which ones to post.....

I had no intention of documenting these feral cats, but I couldn't resist. They hunt inside the building behind them. Well, when someone isn't providing for them. I'm not sure who built the house for them or brings food for them, but it ain't a bad life for a feral cat. Fortunately, the road is not busy and the traffic, that does use it, is slow.

And then I caught these two scenes at the local cemetery.

Wow, the cemetery shots are riveting. I think they hit me a little more today because today is the 20th anniversary of my dad's passing. 20 years have disappeared. Great photos, they actually touched me.

wish someone would go in and straighten that headstone up though

Thanks, Steve. I love that old cemetery. I always seem to find new things every time I visit.

Time passes by so quickly. Sounds like you had a special relationship with your dad. The cemetery was created in about 1862 (might have been a little earlier). there are alot of stones that have not weathered well. Some are simply leaning against the original base. The old stones are the ones that attract me the most.

It's great to see your photos, Ginger! I really love that third one with the beautiful depth of field -- nicely done!

Ginger, WELCOME to DPS
These shots are all emotional on some level. I am an animal lover and hate to see feral cats....even with a house. But your shots are really well done.
The first cemetery shot is wonderfully shot, but sad to me....and the last one is so well done, but I also wish someone would attend to it and straighten it.
Love to see more of your work.
