Default Shed Some Light

Shed Some Light
-----
It's innocence within the maze,
But I have chosen the wrong way.
I'm still getting over who I was,
There's no sense of trust,
There's no definition of love.

Shed Some Light on me,
Hold me up in disbelief
Shed Some Light on me
Tell me something that I'll believe in

There are points in life where you feel like you are on the outside looking in. Life is like that, sometimes you are stuck outside the door and forced to watch from the window. Sometimes patience is what we lack to open the door, and then there are the times that even with ever enduring patience, the door will still not open. No matter why you are outside the door, be it your decision or someone else's, try to make the best of the view you've been given by God.

This is the 5th shot from my on campus walk just before sunrise a few days ago. I'm still enjoying the set of shots and I think I still have a few potential shots to put up. I find new ones I like, and new ideas to make the shots work everytime I go through the pictures. This one was pretty heavily edited in post processing for contrast and sharpening. I then made an interesting partial B/W which I'm really digging right now. I knew from the second I took this shot that it would be a keeper, but I'm just now getting around to it. I shot it with the Nikon D90, 50 mm f1.8 just after sunrise. The picture is of Morrill Hall at Oklahoma State University.

These are great! I especially like the second one. They do tell a story and to me that is what it is about! TFS!

Beautiful KT... just beautiful.
Love the processing here too.
I saw this on your Flickr page earlier
You really manage to make your photos
speak.. and they say exactly what you
write (does that make sense?... I'm not
as good as you are with words )

Oh and by the way... the partial B&W processing...
freaking awesome! Really adds a grunge look

Thanks Nikki, I'm glad you liked it. My objective is always to speak to the viewer and that is my hope with every shot. I really liked the B&W shot too, it was an interesting idea and I tried it out and it worked.

The first one is a great capture of light. I like the way you have captured a hint of light in the B&W in the second shot. Both are great captures of lines and curves.

Thanks I knew I should post both, there are people with differences in taste for sure out there.

Thanks I really liked the idea with the slight hint of light, it took a lot of work to get right though.
