Default Time To Read

9/365

I travel a lot, so a book is always handy. Ever since I got my eBook reader though it's been so much better. I've always got a few books to chose from. If I start a trip with 10 pages left, I don't have to worry about bringing multiple books with me.

Unfortunately, not everyone publishes to e-book yet, so I do keep some "old fashioned" books around.

The book on the reader is Spinward Fringe: Fracture, by Randolph Lalonde (An independant writer)

365.9 - Time to Read

Interesting shot. I looked at the Sony, but just bought my wife an Ectaco Jetbook Lite from Newegg for only $120 Newegg.com - Ectaco 5" High Resolution e-Book Reader (jetBook-Lite) .

It will read most formats including DRM books from B&N. What I liked about it is that it uses a non-backlit reflective VGA screen which gives instantaneous page turns with no flashing. I also liked the controls much better than the Nook. Finally, it uses regular "AA" batteries. Probably the vest value in e-book readers currently made.

Very cool - Can you buy books from B&N without a nook? I haven't been buying from Sony lately, prefering more open ePub

Ectaco has a business arrangement with B&N and the Jetbook Lite is supposed to work fine with their online store. Have not tried it yet, but on a book forum I have heard it works.
