Well, I decided to start a 365-day photo project. My only real rule for myself is that once I choose the place/thing I'm going to photograph I can't change my mind and do something else just because it's not working out so well.

I actually took two pictures I liked today and have been agonizing over which one is my photo for today. But I guess that's part of the project's purpose - self-editing!

Happy New Year to everyone here. This forum has been the best think for me and I can't wait to see everyone's pictures in 2010.

What a fantastic Jan 1st Martha! I'm doing the same project, but mine is going to be more of a photo diary I think. I doubt mine will end up anywhere near as fabulous & artistic as yours. Gorgeous image. Happy New Year!

Thanks Nicki! It has been a busy day on the forum - I saw a bunch of people out today shooting pictures. It was cool.

Well it is a stunning picture to start of the 365 project.
The lines of the fence leads ones eyes into the picture.
A perfect white and black picture.
A lovely texture on the wooden poles as well.
