Default Home for the Holidays...

Pics from my parent's place (near Wichita Falls, TX):

Not sure how I got the lens flare to do the rainbow thing, but I like it:

The rest of the set (and larger versions) can be seen on my Flickr set.
Comments are always appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Nice shots, especially the rearview mirror. My second favorite is the barbed wire. Thanks

Phil

ahh, that barbed wire set right on the horizon......excellent composition...not sure if I would have thought to use it as a demarcation line in the photograph...makes perfect sense though

When I first opened the thread, I thought that the first two images were one image! That spun my head for a minute as I'm sure you can understand!

I definitely like the rainbow lens flare thing... do it again. Let us know how you did it. What is it you are shooting through in that shot anyway?

I also like the 'Bob Wahr' shot, but I think that's only because I lived in Texas for a few years.

A very merry Christmas to you and yours.

Wonderful set! Each photo is just excellent. I love the simplicity of your compositions, and the clean focus and colors. Hard to pick a favorite here, but I might just have to go with the barbed wire -- I love the way it so neatly divides the bokehs of earth and sky, with such a sense of spaciousess. But they're all beautiful photos!
