Default Olive (the other reindeer) & the bokeh

My friend Olive and I decided to attempt some shaped bokeh tonight. Not bad for my first attempt, if I do say so myself! These are straight out of camera, just cropped a bit. Christmas lights draped on my ottoman. For those of you that don't know Olive, she's from a wonderful children's book by Vivian Walsh which was also made into a movie (one of my favorite Christmas movies).

I seem to be getting some ghosting, and I'm not sure what that's all about, so if anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate the help.

55-200 zoom
shutter: 2
app: f 4.0
focal length 55mm
manual focus

Love the first image. I had a few issues on Saturday night too taking photos at a dance (will post later) - it looked like a bunch of ghosts dancing around. Think it had something to do with the fact it was a long shutter speed and no tripod... Thanks for sharing.

I did use a tripod on some, but not a remote, so I guess I'll try that. I also hand held the shape for the bokeh, so I'm guessing that may have had something to do with it. The two above were on the floor, so my camera was on a box, not the steadiest of platforms...

This is with the tripod, no shape, and there's still a little ghosting around the antlers.

I guess I'll have to try again tonight!!
