Traveling a part of the Appalachian Trail has long been a desire of mine. Just seeing the distance, grasping that it runs through the whole of the Eastern states gives me a fresh perspective on the length of this trail. The breadth surely must be in the history and biology--and those would make fine journies, too. You've peaked my interest. I hear Woody singing another chorus of This Land, too.
