Went out yesterday to take some pictures of a local mountain that doesn't see snow that often that had some fresh snow fall. While out I couldn't help but look around and try to find other interesting things to shoot. Looked no further than down at my feet to see this plant and thought it would make a cool shallow depth of field shot. Adjusted the white balance to give it a cooler look since I do live in the bay area of California, not too frigid out here. Wanted it to look colder. I really like how the out of focus shoots of this plant look like tenticals or something trying to reach out and grab you.
