Default Frames & Effects

I have been playing and learning what PSE has to offer in the way of frames and effects...wide frames, narrow frames, fill -in effects and so on. These are a very first effort. I hope you enjoy just the same.

Great photos & nice framing job too! I have done very little on the framing side of things in Photoshop, but your examples do motivate me to try some myself.

Pauline, nice work with the frames. I like the fit and look on the last one best!

Many thanks SoxAddict. It is fun playing in PSE but I have a lot of refining to do here.

Thankyou Dvetter. This was very much an experimental attempt. I hope to get more time to really work in there and see what I can come up with that's different.

Looks like you're having fun! I've never tried anything like this. I like the combination of photo and frame in the second one best I think -- the frame calls attention to the photo rather than to itself. But all the photos are wonderful!

Thankyou Tenzin'sMom. It was fun and I tested out quite a few of the different effects.

Thankyou Hayward. Only a bit of fun at this stage, but will investigate more options at a later date.

Nice job. Now where IS that in photoshop? I was wondering how to do that today and feel silly that I don't know.

Thankyou AlphaBjerke. I have PhotoShop Elements 5.0. Go to the Art & Effects...this particular one was using Photo Effects - Frames - Recessed Frame. Then for the fill...Layer styles - Patterns - I used "Dry Mud" for the cottage, but you will see many other choices there. Hope you have as much fun as I did.
