Default Lightning attempt

A storm came through last week so I tried to get some lightning shots, My first real attempt at shooting lightning

Lightning over the ocean

ef-s18-55mm @18mm, f7.1,10sec

Nice! I've tried capturing lightning a couple times. Frustrating to say the least, especially when I only had my old Canon point-n-shoot! lol!

Fantastic shot Matt!!! I attempted lightning the other week and its quite frustrating, nearly everytime the shutter would close it would light up the sky! LOL! And unfortunatly we only really got sheet lighting so no amazing forks for me, but great job! =)

Nice shot. I downloaded the Twilight picture style from the Canon website and it turns the lightning purple. It might be worth a try. Again nice shot.
