In his poem What to Remember When Waking, David Whyte says:

To remember
the other world
in this world
is to live in your
true inheritance.

This post is deeply affecting. The photograph so accurately matches your words, those you quote, those you wrote. Inspiring. I hope you don't mind that it led to more poetry...I'm guessing that might have been your hope.

Linda, thanks so much. I did put quite some thought into this post Gates to Heaven. I wanted to touch people in a way more than just a picture. They say a picture says 1000 words. That is correct and those words can lead many different directions. They can stir many different emotions depending on the words thought or used. I thank you for adding a verse, it fits very well. I also thank BeachComber for his great posts and words, he is such an inspiration for me and so many others. I sincerly hope he does not mind me following in his footsteps.
