This is the house and garden that my mother and I went to visit for her 83rd birthday, mentioned in a previous thread. The gardens were originally designed by Nathaniel Lloyd and Lutyens but it was the son, Christopher Lloyd-well kown garden writer and TV presenter-who made the place famous. His books about using unusual colour combinations in the garden are wonderfully inspirational.

Was it Tommy that let you in? Thank him for me, because this is a gorgeous place. Your last one is my favorite. I love the age and weather on the post.
