I have not posted any nature shots that i can remember so I figured it was about time. I think that all three are sort of classics. You be the judge.

Terrific! Cool title thread too, it kept me guessing! As a vet you know the monopod pigeon will appeal to me! Mute duck is wonderful - the monotones & reflection are lovely, as is the movement in the water around him. And those colors around Mr Mexico!! But he does look kind of sad, doesn't he?

I would respond to each of your comments, but I have to get go meet a bunch of teachers from another school for breakfast. The pigeon was an early shot with my 40D. Took it at the famous pier/ wharf in Whiterock, near to where I live. The duck was a shot I took on a walking field trip with my class this past spring. This is definitely not a common subject for me to shoot, but I like it for the reasons that Nicky mentioned. Also an early shot for me with my 40D. The frog was taken while on a tour up a river estuary near San Blas, Mexico. The tour featured river crocodiles, and I mean some pretty big ones that would probably measure up to about 15 feet long. The crocs are being raised on a croc farm up the river, and re-introduced to the environment as poachers were cutting the population down a lot. That frog was a beauty, and was only about an inch and a half long. Very cute all nestled in the plant's leaf! Go to go, but thank you all for the comments!

Wonderful shots! I love them all! The water the duck is swimming through is sooooo smooth and the little froggy too cute!

It always facscinates me to see species idiginous to their country habitat.

One-Legged Pigeon is my favorite.
So look in the Balkans, but they have two legs.
Maybe it escaped from a Balkan war.
