Thank you so much. That one seems to be the winner of this series. Thanks for stopping bye.

I love color, I love black and white....and your bw conversions are really terrific! Great series, thanks for sharing. I think my favorite is the sailboat, but they're all excellent.

Hey Jennie. Yes, I have to admit i was having some withdrawal symptoms from B&W photos. I told you i was a B&W freak, right?! Glad you could come by and check them out, as well as enjoy them.

That makes two of us (loving both colour and B&W). Yet, I am attracted to the simple things, and for me B&W wins almost every time, but that is a personal preference/ bias. Thanks for the comments.

Paul, those are all beautiful images. The lighting and the tone and contrast are so well done. But the third, of the sailboat, is truly eye-catching. Great post!

Looking at these, it is apparent that I need to go back over some of my shots and look at teh bw possibilities

Thanks Martha. I have been working on trying to "see in black and white" more and more, and I find this is helping.

Thanks Patrick. I think you are being a little hard on yourself as I remember seeing some very nice B&W shots from you. I guess it comes down to me doing/ playing with an image in post to my liking. If it works for others i am even more happy. I have been working on B&W conversion pretty steadily in Lightroom 2, and reading lots about doing B&W conversion with this program. One day I want to get photoshop as you have even more potential in post, but that program is not cheap, so I will have to wait. You just have to keep experimenting, I guess.

Thanks Vijay. I have not had the opportunity to check out your work yet, but will do so right now as I like to reciprocate. Take care.
