Found this door in an alley .. I think it's either an old entrance to the basement or perhaps coal bunker ..

An elaborate door for a coal bunker! Such detail in the iron work and beautiful texture in the weathered timber.

The third shot is my favourite, the light brings out the texture in the rusted iron.

Nice find!

It sure is a beautiful door. The iron work is fantastic. I would suggest early 1800's. Nice shots as well.

very cool! Just a thought... maybe try the 3rd one in black and white? I think it will look very gothic and yet very good? Tell me if you do, I'd love to see what it looks like?

Hi Ian. Nice set of photos. For some reason the third really stands out. It may be due to the angle as the shadows are captured so nicely giving each little "knob" of metal form. The colour contrast in the others between the wood and the metal is very striking to me. If doors could talk about who went in... Thanks for sharing these.
