Default Journey through a corn field

Yesterday, I drove around at lunch and saw this corn field that I could actually access without climbing a fence onto private property so I parked and got out.....It was an interesting experience being my first time up close and personal with a corn stalk.....was surprised at how strong the plants are...They are structured a little like bamboo but clearly not as strong. But you would not want to run through a corn field. The stalks would not give way all that easily.

Here is the field I ventured into

This was probably my favorite shot.....I like the backlighting provided by the sun

A little closer shot

I opened this one up on the stalk

Nice set... it really brings the feeling of the season. The second shot is my favorite! Thanks for sharing... we don't see many corn fields here.

Although they're very beautiful, colorful photos, but still bring me the creepy feelings of "The Children of the Corns" and "The Messengers II" (These are 2 horror movies)- Just kidding
I like the 2nd too!
Thanks for sharing!

That second one is attractive because of being backlit by the sun but i like the look of the wind blowing the tassels in the field shot.

Patrick, The way the ears of corn are lit, it gives the appears of finding a treasure of gold nuggets. These shots are just beautiful!

Really nice set. Love the 2nd one also. What a blast we had as kids, playing hide & seek in the corn fields...and in the dark was even better! Gosh, now I watch for snakes and big banana spiders! My how times do change!
