Default Autumn rose

Balmy weather here in north central Texas, USA with 50's night and 70's daytime temperatures. Six new buds appeared on rose bush in the past week. This one opened yesterday and today.

Great contrast, alphasco! I like the bokeh in the background as well! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Equilution! I saw the shot yesterday during a morning break in almost two weeks of cloudiness and rain, and it was the contrast between the rose and the background shadows from the tree leaves that caught my attention. I had immediate obligations, though, and couldn't get back to take the photo. The sky clouded over again within a couple of hours. Luckily, this morning is clear and bright, though, so I went back got the shot. I was given the rare opportunity to regain a missed photographic opportunity!

Lovely! I also really like the contrast between the flower and shadows in the background.
