Default (Small) Flock of Seagulls

Here's a photo with selective focus on just one of the birds. It's a bit different, but it holds my attention (for some reason).

(Small) Flock of Seagulls

Thanks for looking.

It holds my attention, too. I like the fact that the one on which you've focused is going in a different direction from the others.

Well done Chip, a wonderful picture, gulls are freedom on the wing and you've captured them beautifully

Many thanks, Mike. Glad you liked the disorder in this one. To put it in context, the tide has just started coming into a shallow tidal flats area. There were tons of small "bait fish" around, and the gulls were having a feeding frenzy, going this way and that.

Leaving a comment for you is no simple deal. First, look at photo in the original size, stroll over to the photostream, visit Nantucket again, go to a wedding, observe interesting faces, watch Kate play volleyball, swoon over waterlilies. Now where was I?....Gulls...look at those pretty clouds framing the gull...wonder what time of day it was 'cause the light is so perfect...wonder why I can't get a gull photo for love nor money.... Sorry. NOT simply gulls. But fun.

A really nice shot and it's interesting that one is going in a different direction than the others.

I'm gonna hire you as my publicist! This photo was taken abut 45 minutes or so before sunset . . . the light was good that day. Thank you for the encouraging comments, Linda.

I was thinking poultry in motion myself...

I like the wing angles they've all been captured at.

"Poultry" in motion?? That's a a good "bad" joke, right there. Thanks for your comments, Sjdj12995.
