I used the on camera pop-up flash to get some fill on the sand, but was kind of limited as I used my big Nikon 24-70 f/2.8 lens which has a large hood that limits the pop-up but I did not have an SB600 unit with me. Here is the exif data:

Camera: Nikon D5000
Exposure: 0.017 sec (1/60)
Aperture: f/2.8
Focal Length: 48 mm
Exposure: +0.29
ISO Speed: 400
Flash: On, Return detected
