Default Hanging about

This might seem like a strange thread but something I notice, when out and about with my camera, is the number of items just 'hanging about' in various locales.

Here's a recent collection that caught my eye.

THE MOP-Labasheeda, Shannonb Estuary, County Clare ...a tiny village, sitting on the water. I was exploring a community building and,at the back, saw this-just hanging on the wall!

Mop

HANDY TOOL-I was staying in a cottage at Kilfenora and every evening, walked the country lanes, looking for insects and anything that caught my eye. Passing a small farmstead I saw this, fixed on the wall of an outbuilding.

Farm tool

RUSTY LAMP-driving out of Labasheeda village and I saw this, hanging in the front garden, under the ivy. The house dog barked and barked at me but to no avail-I stole the shot.

Rusty lamp

BLUE-BLACK FEATHER-on one of my UK canal mooches, was examining tree bark-as you do-and there was the beautiful feather-perfectly caught in the edge of bark.

Blue-Black feather

Great shots, I especially like the last 1, the feather looks so weathered it could of been hanging about there ages.
Great work as usual.

An interesting selection of objects that hang, a mop left to drain with evidence of rust around the collar, a rusting screwdriver like tool, in a makeshift holder, a rusting lamp forgotten until you came by, and the feather hanging in the bark of a tree, the only only item not rusting back to the land. Nicely presented Moi, a simple and effective quartet of pictures from a beautiful country

beach-thank you so much for the very thoughtful comments. It's fascinating to 'look up'-advice given to me many, many years ago when I started taking pictures.............so many objects to see and all with a little story.

What an eclectic and delightful collection, Maureen. I like best, the mop on the wall, it has wonderful textures and the rust on the mop picks up the same color in the wall. Aren't we avid photographers just odd? We drive down the streets, our eyes on the alert for the smallest detail of interest like a rusty lamp, and then we'll risk bodily harm and potential arrest to steal an image. I feel so like a kleptomaniac!
