Default Coping Without a Camera

So, my camera is off to Fuji for a warranty repair (sensor failure). What's a shutterhound to do? Look through the seemingly endless backlog of pictures and work with some of them, that's what!

Here is a sample from a set taken in Murrells Inlet, SC, back in August. I think I might want to move there one day. Thanks for looking!

Oh I would be so lost without my camera, hope you get yours back soon in tip top shape.
Your images are beautiful, your camera has served you well. The pier and the sunset both are just stunning. The crows are great, looks like they are having a conversation with each other. And I love egrets.
Beautiful set, tfs.

Hi Mike,
Yeah, if I could retire today, it might be to there.

Thanks everyone!

Anytime scenic or travel photos make me want to go there, I know the photographer has done a good job. What? A photographer without his eyes? That's worse than a coon hunter without his hound. Hang in there--hope it gets back soon.

I've never made it to South Carolina; but would love to go there and play Golf and take pictures along the shore. You've posted some wonderful shots. I love the pier especially and of course I do love egrets. Hope you get your camera back soon. Why Fuji????
Thanks for sharing these

Thanks Mike,
I really like the sillhouette, as well. I can only imagine about what they are conversing. Probably food, I guess.

Thanks Cye! I completely agree with your judgment criteria. I am glad you liked these.

Thanks Chewys Dad, I must confess that my golf experience has been limited to the driving range, but beautiful courses seemed to beckon to us wherever we went. As far as why I went with Fuji, I really didn't have much of a choice. It was a gift from my mother in law who bought it for herself and concluded that it was too intimidating, despite several offers from myself to instruct her on its use. The s100fs is a really great camera and was especially versatile on the beach (18-400mm range without ever having to change lenses) but I am actually saving for a D90 (Half way there!).
The pier is a memorable picture for me because it is then that I realized that if I was looking forward to rising at 5:00am to get the shot I had envisioned in my head, I had progressed from "passing phase" into "full blown hobby".
