Hey there. Much thanks to Hayward_Taylor for the idea of doing a star movement time-lapse video.
I know, this is kind of rough, and really short but I put a lot of effort into it and it took longer than I expected. Thanks for viewing, this is my 2nd time trying this, so if you've ever done this, feel free to leave me some constructive criticism. Happy shooting =D If you cannot see the video on here, go to Stars Time-lapse by CanonRebelz. Thanks. 27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"> Set-up: One 20-second exposure every 20 seconds. I used my iPod "Clock" thing and went to stopwatch, and after every exposure I would start the stopwatch. Once it reached 10.00 (sometimes I'd forget and it would hit 20-30), I would press the shutter again. The shutter was set to 10 sec timer, so there's the 20 (or more) second wait. That's why it took so long, thank goodness I didn't need to do it every 1 min. >_< Music by Vitamin Quartet from the album "String Quartet Tribute to Relient K". So, again, thanks to Hayward_taylor for the idea!! Last edited by CanonRebelz; 09-29-2009 at 10:30 PM. |

great idea! I'm certianly not experienced enough to give real feedback, but I'm working on star tracks now. Your video has vivid stars without overexposed sky; something I'm struggling with. Never thought of making a video! From a first glance it was really cool...love the music that went with it. There is a "bump" at :06 and :04, but otherwise...GREAT! What were the bursts of light towards the end? were they asteroids or shooting stars?
Thanks for sharing! |

).Oh i see! Star trails are tough, I tried but I don't have a shutter release (wired/remote whatever) to do it so my results always end up shaky looking. Yeah, time lapse video's are something I never tried, closest thing I could get to a star trail haha. Yes the bumps, sorry about that. Those were cloud's that passed by, it was weird to see clouds! ha ha. I want to one day spend the whole night outside and do a time lapse, and when the video would come together it would be dizzying. Lol but I don't have that kind of patience! Thaks very much ![]() There is a direct link to it in my post. Quote:

If you have inspired just one person, there are then no limits as to how far your inspiration may spread, well done Steve |
