Default Breaking the rules!

Why keep you camera still? Why not give it a shake or two.

Something that I am delving into is photographing...Monet style. The colors that are around us right now especially on the country roads give excellent opportunities for impressionistic photography. Here are some from yesterday. Basically SOOC with a little levels work in PS and RAW adjustments.:

Monet 2

Monet 3

Monet 4

And one that I saw and had to take.:

Here are some more of my other experiments and a brief explanation of how it's done.:

Abstract Motion

Enjoy!

Hello sjlarue, I like the final picture and know a little about Monets paintings. What a challenge to recreate with camera motion and blur what he did with brushes. Even in his final years you could still make out his subject and your results are Monetesque but a little too blurred. Its a great idea and I certainly havn't seen anyone try it before without using an art filter, good luck and well done and I'll watch this space

That is pretty cool. They look like paintings. I do like the last one. Looks mysterious yet symbolic.

As long as no one is hurt, and we learn something new, breaking the rules is a good thing!

Almost looks like fireworks falling around the flag on that last shot.

Yep it's a little blurred, and if I had thought about it, I would have gotten a still image without movement then PSed a hint of it in. Or slowed the motion down even more to get some of the flowers in there. But right now it's just an experiment in something new.

Thanks, someone else mentioned Ernst Haas like, on the last one. I had no idea who he was until I Googled him. Looks like I can draw some inspiration from him.

Precisely!

Part of he firework effect was a decorative windmill that the homeowner placed beside the flag. I wished it moved would have provided some sparkle as the sun hit it.

Great shots, I too particularly like the last one of your national flag. Might have to try something like this one day. Thanks for sharing.
