Default Flippin' sand

Finally time to post a little something here ! These are of our recent trip to Brighton Beach with the girls, thought we'd make one more trip to the beach before winter. Megan was having a great time digging sand to make a sand castle, I managed some fun shots of her.
Heres Megan, busy flippin' sand, it looks better large.

Rachel buried herself in the sand.

And lastly a duo of pelicans diving, wish this one had been better.

There are a few more on my Flickr. Thanks for looking. Comments are always welcome.

We had so much fun yesterday Mom! I always love our road trips. Looking forward to San Francisco in a couple of weeks.
You are so right, that first one of Megan flipping the sand is so amazing large. Very cool! I love it.
I love the angle of Rachel in the sand. Great shot.
Megan looks right at home in shot #3. I swear they are both beach bums at heart!
Great capture of tandem pelicans. That was so fun to sit and watch all day.
Great set and great fun! Many wonderful memories to get us through the winter until we can do it again!

I love the first one...that would make a nice print on the wall. The innocence of childhood...and sand in places you never knew you had! Nice set.

I think these must be some of your best pictures. I enjoyed your recent dog pictures, but these are fantastic, stop action sand arcs and buried treasure, through to sand dancing and diving pelicans. To fully appreciate how good they are, they should be viewed on flickr where there are also further pictures, good job toyvlle

Great shot of the pelicans about to splash down!

What kind of precautions do you take to protect your gear at the beach or on the water?

Very entertaining post and looks like a great day of fun. I love the flipping sand and how you've caught the arc going over her head in mid-air. excellent. The diving pelicans in tandem is amazing. That's quite a rare sight. Wonderful!

Hi Beach, thank you so much. You made me laugh instantly when I saw the dog, too funny. Megan playing in the sand is probably one of my most favorite shots. Now, the pelicans need some work, they are so fast. We sat for hours and even knew when they would get ready to dive, but getting the perfect shot is really difficult. They really fascinate me, so I plan to keep trying. Thanks again !!!

We decided this was a couple, they did everything in tandem. Pretty awesome to watch.

We were up on the beach, not too close to the water, but we were very careful about the sand. I was a good distance from Megan when she was throwing the sand around.
