Sometimes we have little idea what goes on under our noses. I got reacquainted with my visitors. It was a fun day.

Tom...you feel winter coming? These are lovely reminders of summer and each image seems to retain a little of the warmth of the sun. The caterpiller just glows!

Thanks Lindy, yes I am afraid I do feel the approach of "old man" winter. It was chilly yesterday as I was out back shooting these images. I have really enjoyed my first spring and summer with my XSi. Now I will see fall and the coming winter with renewed eyes.

You had some excellent visitors and taken some first rate pictures. The second and third are my favourites with the bee winning only by a short antennae.
They do look great viewer larger on flickr, where there are several more to see

Thanks Dave. I found this website that helps identify caterpillars. Imagine my surprise when I discovered I had a bear in my back yard! Thanks again!
