Hi Steve - what an image!!!! ... I can tell the slight breeze blowing - the angle of the sun with soft shadows - the marks on the rocks showing their age - and the slow sifting of the sand ... it's a thing of beauty

Steve,

It is said that some "simple" pictures make the best images and those are the most difficult to get. Well, this is certainly one of those. I like the delicate balance between the textures - sand, rocks, grass, sky - The shapes left by the water in the sand and the wind curving the grass. The mild colors of the sky with the hinted clouds. It was all there and you captured it from the right angle and the right time. Very smart composition.
I'll have to look it up in Flickr and keep it as a Fav.

Love that golden glow and the textures and the elements you've put together here. Marvelous composition.

Wow, Steve. You know, your images and quotes are always so great I'm running out of words to use to compliment them with. Fanstatic, again.

Beautiful capture Steve. Like natural still life and you coldn't have arranged the rocks much better if you tried. Nice time of day for the shot too, the shadows show off all the lovely textures in the rocks. Super work buddy.

Dave.
