Recently I read this article, and hey I love my 50mm so I decided it was time to take it for a walk.
What I like most about the lens is the bokeh. It's very soft, but the lights will get a nice octo shape because it's so old (This might not be to everybodys taste though). I needed a plan what to do with my little photowalk and so I came up with this idea: I would focus on the background (not literally). So the bokeh would be the main subject, and so I started running around scanning the enviroment with the camera completly out of focus. After I found something I liked I searched for something I could put in the foreground to give the picture a little more spice. The results might not be for everybodys taste, but actually it was great fun. After a while I really startet to see what might make up for a nice bokeh, so try this out if you want to sharpen your eye for backgrounds. O.K nuff said, here are my 4 favourite shots (All pics taken at ISO400, f2.0, 1/40s to 1/60s and of course 50mm): ![]() ![]() ![]()

These are really nice shots. I think it's time to invest in a 50mm. Thanks for sharing.
