Brilliant Paul, this could be an ancient stone rubbing, or the carved lid of a stone tomb, a stained glass window in an isolated chaple, or the crest of a great and noble family.
I love the idea of the sword and the rose because it reminds of the Rosslyn Chapel, Freemasonry, the Knights Templar and the St. Clair family. A fantastic collection of stories or folklore, it doesn't matter, I love the picture Paul.

Hi there and yes I too think this is a cracking image. Beach is right with his comments any subject that evokes an emotion has a valid place in art. This is a fine example of photoshop editing and I really do like it a lot. Thanks for sharing it.
David.

Very creative Paul and a nice piece of work. The sword was definitely worth picking up and you found some excellent ways of photographing it.

Dave.

Thanks Dave. That was last rose on the bush in the front. I will have some explaining to do when the wife gets home tonight.
