Default Variation on a Drop

I took these back in June. I left them aside and came back to them last week.
I wanted to share them with you.
I hope you like them.


One drop

Drop in dark box



Camera: Canon PowerShot SX100 IS
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/800)
Aperture: f/6.3
Focal Length: 6 mm
Exposure: 0.00
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0 EV





Three Drops

Drop in dark box



Camera: Canon PowerShot SX100 IS
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/800)
Aperture: f/6.3
Focal Length: 6 mm
Exposure: 0.00
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

Hi Flavio, I will probably try something like this in the winter....I like that light highlighting your water drop.....three balls of milk...very cool capture

The first two pictures are beautifully conceived and created, with perfect lighting and symmetry. I prefer the first but only by smallest of margins, its a real - there thats the one - moment, good job.

We also get the bonus picture showing how the sorcerer creates his magic. This is wonderful and reminds me of how some fourty plus years ago my chemistry teacher used to make us draw pictures of all of our experiments.

This is an excellent post, well done Flavio

I highly recommend it. If you have kids get them involved. I'd suggest you use different liquids: Water, milk, 1/2 and 1/2, etc. There are many factors to play with until you get something you like. It is quite fun!
