Default Made it to 1000.

My how time flies, I have been having such fun I almost missed the 1000. I feel like I have come so far thanks to everyone here, there is still just so much more to learn but I know I can always share what I do here and get feed back which is just so important.
After thinking about what I should share I decided to use a picture that meant a lot to me, why? because I had to use all my newly gained knowledge to get it. I took this picture while sitting on the beach early one morning trying to take a sunrise, My camera was set up on a tripod and all settings were geared to get that sunrise, however my husband had been further down the beach entertaining some pelicans with some old bait he had found, when he returned to me the pelicans followed. He had one piece of bait left and a lot of pelicans now after more breakfast. I quickly took my camera from the tripod, reset all the settings and with only one chance, and not a lot of light, took my picture. There is no way on earth I could have done that six months ago.
I knew most of you have already seen this picture in the weekly assignment, but these are my pelicans before they were "The Beach Birds".

Pelicans-1

You really need to see it large. This one is going onto canvas and onto my wall.
Thanks for looking and I'll see you around.

wow, I had not seen this...It has so much going for it....humor, lighting, sharpness etc. I can see why you would want to have this up in your home.....perpetuate a great memory and show off your skills....you have had a tremendous number of excellent shots that would compete for a wall hanger....if we only had so much money and available wall space!

This is really an appropriate photo for your 1000th shot. Seems like they are cheering your achievement. Undoubtedly you are an excellent photographer, and while you may have learnt from many on this website, you have taught and inspired even more including myself. Thanks for sharing your talent, and I look forward to your next 1000.

Yes you are so right, not enough wall space. Too many grandchildren, they are just to cute and take up the walls.

Thankyou Fred, I love pelicans so I could have spent all morning with them. But they moved on as soon as the food was gone.
