Default different scenes on a lunch shoot

High decorative grasses along a wooden fence

DSC_1010

a purple plant among the blowing grasses.....very common sight around here now

DSC_0962

Here is a water plant rising above a shallow stream...wish it was a little sharper

yellow bloom over water

not on my lunch shoot, but I saw these growing along the roadside on the way to work and so I had to pull over and walk back to them.

They are all good, but it was a no brainer to stop mate, that last picture is excellent Patrick,
I think its that combination of colours similar to your last post that does it, and the Nikon captures colour so very well.

Hi Patrick - well you had a good clear day to capture these shots.

I like the one with the grasses and the fence and that roadside shot - worth walking back to.

Cheers, Bernz

hahaha..you literally gave new meaning to the phrase "stop and smell the flowers"..it might be gone unnoticed for some other eye but you stopped by and captured it beautifully..and much more, you shared it to all of us..tnx..

Well, Mom and Daughter, I work at Lowes Home Improvement and I work at a smaller one in a rural area where a 5 minute drive from pure country.....barns, horses, tall grasses and pure nature so it doesn't take long to get to a photo spot, rip off a series of shots, and get back to my concrete jungle in an hour's time. I have to have a plan and not dawdle too much. Lowe's also has a garden center so I do have access to some great plants at times and will shoot there at lunch on occasion.....it's a big part of the reason there are so many flowers in my portfolio...it's what's readily available to me with the time I have. I live 16 miles away in the city. I am definitely a city boy and like my conveniences.....smile

WOW, your fourth shot is incredible, have it put on canvas and hang it on the wall to chase away the winter blues. The colours are so vibrant and "happy".

Hi Michele, I love it when we we get a crystal pristine blue sky......not often around here. And all of the "wild" flowers seem to be yellow so it's a nice combination......

Those are all great! Such vibrant colors! I've seen some of that purple stuff around here too but haven't stopped to take a pic yet. I really need to do that!
