Great catch Hayward and a perfect title to go with it. Small plant stem and shoot with a thin thread of silk, nice.

How come when I try to take shots like these they look like crap, but when you guys do it they look fantastic?

Hayward, Oh, my! I love this kind of shot--tending towards the abstract, heavy on texture and design. The negative space is beautifully filled by the aqua bokeh. But, oh, that slender strand of web. That is...for such a time as this...inspiring. Thanks.

oh isn't it amazing what the camera lens pics up now days! Things that you can't see with the naked eye, is BLAM right there in your face! I recently took a photo of a wasp on a flower, and once it was on the computer I could see all of the white pollen in the flower and on the wasp.
Love your photo Hayward. Looks like the vine is hanging on with both hands! Your title says it all!

nice Hayward....these look great too in winter when they are all brown and are sculptures of the prior growing season
