Default Weeee!

Love the bright colors I was able to get on this fun shot. Any tips for shooting hi-speed rides?!?

Looks like you did ok to me Kevin. I love how the little boy is holding on so tight and a nice expression and yes the colours are great. Nice work my friend.

Dave.

I got dizzy just looking at it. This photo tells a story with the little guy holding on so tight.

Thanks to you both. I'm trying to learn my way.

That's my little guy (and the Mrs.) actually and he normally hams it up or runs away so it was nice to just get his pure g-force-induced joy.

I think you did a great job of freezing the action. Very nice, love the expressions and colors. Nice shot of Mom and son having fun.

You did a fine job of freezing high speed motion which is good for closed-structure ride like that. Another fun thing to do is use blur to show motion, but that works better with open-framed rides. Take a look at saralonde's examples in the opening instructions for this week's "Weekly Assignment."

Thanks for the tip, appreciated. I'll have to keep those assignment suggestions in mind next time to open up the possibilities.

This brought to mind a shot I took with my iPhone actually. More luck than anything, I got my boy (somewhat) in focus as this ride whipped around (indoors no less). Definitely get the sense of speed. He looks Photoshop'd, but I assure you this is untouched. Looks great on the iPhone screen, not so much at full resolution.

Great colors, and I love how he's holding on for dear life!
