Well I went back to my favourite spot to catch the Kingfishers feeding. You can understand where they get there name from when you see them dive from a tree, catch a fish, and then off they go at some speed. It's hard to capture them. However, I thought I had some good shots but are not really happy with them due to focus. Need to work on more options of exposure to get the right shot.
At least I caught some with the fish that I thought I would share with you anyway. Fotos have been heavily cropped. ![]() Camera: Nikon D300 Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1600) Aperture: f/4.0 Focal Length: 180 mm ISO Speed: 200 ![]() Camera: Nikon D300 Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/2000) Aperture: f/2.8 Focal Length: 200 mm ISO Speed: 200 ![]() Happy after eating the fish ...... Bernz these are fantastic shots. The first one is brilliant with the colours and to capture the Kingfisher with a fish in its mouth, cool. I so want a Nikon even with heavy cropping these are really clear. Don't ya just which birds would land in trees with less branches, lol but still a great capture anyway.

These are my favorite birds. You did a great job. I have yet to get a good shot of one yet. Your kingfishers have more color than ours.
